I have been working at NYU Langone Health for over 25 years. NYU has afforded me the opportunity for endless growth and continuous learning. The benefits are outstanding. The salaries offered are extremely competitive in the NYC area. I love to come to work each day as I am surrounded by the best team and supported by leadership at all levels including our executive team. In my role I am given the opportunity to implement change to keep NYU at the cutting edge. Throughout all my years at NYU I believe all of my work was recognized and valued . This is a place to work where your voice is heard and your opinion matters. NYU Langone Health is an excellent place to work.

Politics, horrible management, horrible systems,depressing. Perhaps things are better in other sections of NYU but at NYU Langone, its such a depressing place to work. It sucks every piece of life out of you. I realize that the high salary is used to compensate for areas that they are lacking. You are not appreciated as an employee or as a human being. You are seen as just a number that is expected to produce. Work is given to me that is beyond what any normal person can accomplish and it's expected to be completed. The Moral is lower than anywhere i have ever worked and the stress level is beyond anywhere i have ever worked. When interviewing, observe your surroundings, do the people look happy? do they look sociable? do they look motivated? evaluate as much as you can to avoid making a huge mistake.

Very high turnover rate--terrible place to work

Excellent health benefits and above high matching 401K.

Cons

Depending on where you work, you could end up with an office that has water leaking from the ceiling, walls peeling, and just plain dirty desk and furniture. The cleaning crew only throws out the garbage and the floor is usually filthy. There is a culture of dirty office politics, micromanaging, policing, petty vindictive attitudes, harassment, snitching and backstabbing. Lots of negative energy. Since I've been there for 2+ years I've known at least 6-7 good people that either quit or was mysteriously fired.
