      Pros

      The great thing about working at NYU is that it's a recognizable name that any one else in higher education has heard of and of course the location.

      Cons

      The School of Continuing and Professional Studies is a horribly managed division of the university with poor management from the top to bottom. Incredibly high turn over over the past few years has resulted in management from top to bottom that is relatively inexperienced and has no internal support.

      Pros

      Great Staff, Great Compensation, Creative Environment. It allowed me to gain more financial experience which was a good thing. Otherwise, I would not have stayed.

      Cons

      I temporarily worked as an employee for Steinhardt School of music. It was a great learning experience but extremely disorganized and lacking professionalism. Each person was given the tasks of doing a two person job and many permanent employees often complained about the lack of raises or compensation they received for the work. The person in my previous position as the Budget Coordinator often worked 70-80 hours per week. Definitely enough to turn me off.
