Pros

Thoughtful CEO; good intents and ideas but things are not getting well understood and translated as they should be. I can see some positive thought change in the organization in last 24 months till i left :) .The Nagarro new tag line has a lot of meaning in it. Active internal communication channels Open for ideas Opportunity to learn lots of new technology stuff Organization really believe in equipping itself with latest technologies. There is lot of investment being done in form of internal university programs, classroom training programs and webinars. This is something which is directly driven from top management. Great thoughts !! Internal hackathons Lots of short duration projects; good for less experienced to gain end to end experience Approachable management Good CTC structure; No variables

Cons

Enterprise feel is missing in general. Thick top hierarchy; lots of directors and associate directors Easy to get promotions even at top level hierarchy; its really strange In general less people with actual in-depth technology expertise and business domain penetration Lots of trusted and proven old people, who are now outdated and less performant wrt today, but still benefitted comparatively, because top management still feels or communicated that they are their top notch people. People management is less mature. Few of old employees bypass the hierarchy and get things done for them based on there old corporate connections. HR is improving but needs more improvement Global mobility group operations/policies are less employee friendly Working/coming on weekends policy is not good due to which it is misused very well

Pros

Initially (4 years back), this was a very good company with nice increments, caring attitude. Now, everything is bad, low increments, firing without no reason and they do not allow people to work in new technology means they want you to work in legacy projects.

Cons

1. Firing without any reason. Now, they are saying that this is due to performance or attitude problem but the truth is without proposing any project they are firing. They follow an automated process to find suitable project for an employee and this system is faulty. They do not allow you to find anything by yourself and if their system is not able to find a suitable project then you are the best candidate to fire. I think this is not enough to find someone's performance or attitude. 2. Recently they have started evaluation of bench resources. Suppose you clear the evaluation then also the chances of your firing is dependent upon HR's mood. 3. To fire a resource is totally dependent upon HR. If she did not like you by any reason she can escalate and you will be the best candidate to fire. 4. Though I agree for few cases the management is right that there are performance issue or attitude problem. But, then what about the other cases. They completely rely on HRs decision. No cross verification or process to find the reason behind not getting the project. 5.If you are not on bench then you are safe. So currently they introduced pay cuts and no increment. Very few organizations are doing anything like this. 6. Also, increment is very low. They encourage a special group's people by good increment, providing better opportunity in terms of new technologies work. The people in this group can easily work on latest technology but for rest there is no way to switch to any new technology.

Pros

1) Salary on time 2) Manmohan Gupta, ( Name says it all !)

Cons

I joined this organization without a thorough analysis of feedbacks on glassdoor and faced similar experiences which are already shared on this platform. Before you join nagarro at management level, please read glassdoor feedbacks seriously. When thoughts of resignation started in my mind, I checked glassdoor and to my surprise found same experiences already shared on this platform, YES, others are also facing similar issues and sure management is not going to take any action against these issues because it will be against the beloved ! 1) Nagarro promotes itself as a nonhierarchical organisation, I would say yes, it is a non-hierarchical organisation structured to make micromanagement easy for beloved people to remain in control in this competitive world. 2) Decisions without involving project leader are common. You would not even know when your project employee ( part of your team ) is promoted ( HR sucks ! ) Ground rule is Number of years of Experience = title, regardless of the person dont know anything because he has X number of years experience he is XYZ title 3) To be honest, there are good people in this organisation at VP level, but they are made powerless as they are competent and can lead to troubles for beloved VP's! You need to be REALLY lucky to get a good VP / Manager to be able to perform your duties else it is micromanagement, micromanagement, and micromanagement only! Don’t be surprised if your achievements are stolen by your VP and put forward on his name. 4) You hold absolutely no value in this organisation and are expected to work as a puppet to VP 5) Overall I would say, it is an Indian private company where favouritism for family and friend is at its peak 6) I can't write names hear as mentioning them would be against glassdoor policies but let me give you hint, If you have an offer from Nagarro to join in a management role, check who is your VP ( like I said there are good VP in this organization, who are not beloved and are professionals ), simply ask background of the VP to HR, you can also politely ask if he is part of “beloved” and you will know the answer. Caution note :- if you are a performer and you are part of Beloved VP’s group, you are going to write the next review, but remember your review would be suppressed/trolled by single line reviews for beloved ( there is a special training on yammer by HR on how to write a detailed review on glassdoor with promotional tags but, ya, you need to have brain, just being beloved dosent work at all places.. it only works in na ga rro !

Dear ex-colleague, At least we agree that Manmohan Gupta is a gem of a person! Now on to topics that appear to be riling you: 1. Non-hierarchical as a way of micro-management: Non-hierarchical isn’t for everyone, it can be unsettling. Maybe it’s not for some of the folks you worked with, or maybe it wasn’t for you. But it’s a key core value of the company and I’m glad you at least see it in action, even if not in the way you’d like to. 2. Promotions without the project leader being informed up front: Yes, HR did do this for a while, deliberately. In our concept, people don’t “belong” to the project leader, they work for the company. This was an outcome of that. Non-hierarchical... and not really micro-management, since the promotion. didn’t come from the VP who was your operational guide and skip you, but from a set of data and algorithms. 3-6. VPs and VPs: You seem to have some issues with a couple of the VPs who have been around for a while. (Just btw I think VPs who’ve been around for more than 5 years are probably fewer than a third of the total.) I can’t second guess your experience, so I can only say sorry. But one thing you wrote was flat untrue: “there is a special training on Yammer by HR on how to write a detailed review on Glassdoor with promotional tags”. That’s a dishonest allegation. There are indeed a couple of posts about Glassdoor on Yammer but they carefully encourage folks to go to Glassdoor and post the positive _along with the negative_. The idea was that potential joiners wouldn’t only hear emotional outbursts from people like you who were on the way out but also hear from people who were employed at Nagarro - happily or otherwise - so they could get a balanced perspective. (I’m happy to share those Yammer posts with Glassdoor employees if they wish.) Best of luck with your career and hope you have a better time wherever you are now. Best regards, Manas
