Pros

There’s the potential to make high commission, if you can jump through the many absurd hoops and restrictions on receiving the money you’ve earned fairly.

Cons

Horrible toxic environment created by corporate. No product/procedure training yet they expect you to “aggressively” sell treatments to patients (you’re literally told to “be pushy”). There are no written SOPs and things are miscommunication regularly, yet employees are penalized frequently via write-ups, which you can expect to hear 10 times/day. Write-ups are issued for things like clocking back in from mandatory breaks 1 minute late, logging into pointless meetings 1 minute late, or making “invoicing errors”, which in reality means you didn’t properly correct the pricing that’s listed in their Boulevard system which changes daily, is not properly communicated, and is not updated on Boulevard. Write-ups are used to disqualify employees from receiving their “bonuses”, which is really commission. You will also lose your bonus if you call out more than twice, or if you call off out within 24 hours of a shift, meaning you need to know you will be sick 24 hours in advance, otherwise you need to show up to a medical office sick in order to get your commission. There are four cameras in every room of every office, and a large team of HR reps monitor these constantly to find reasons to write people up or fire them. This is also a Christian company that proselytizes by giving out ice packs with Bible quotes on them. It’s ironic because of how unethical and toxic they are. Everyone is in a constant state of anxiety about getting fired or written up, and as a result bullying is common in almost every location. Most of the reviews you see are written by employees friends and family, because management asks us to reach out and get people who have never stepped foot into a Naked MD to write reviews. Many of the glowing reviews on this site are from management who were asked by corporate to write them. Save yourself the headache and find a job at a company that actually values its employees and operates with at least a shred of integrity.

Pros

Working at a Spa, space is aesthetic.

Cons

1. Write-ups are given for very minor issues such as being one minute late to repetitive meetings, or going a minute over on breaks (even when employees often work through their breaks due to workload). Employees are even encouraged to log into meetings while driving, which isn’t safe. On top of that, the timekeeping app has frequent issues, yet mistakes with clocking in or out can still result in write-ups. 2. Commissions are conditional. Even if you meet your quota, there’s a high chance you won’t receive commission due to factors outside of your control, such as health emergencies and traffic despite being pushed to do more. 3. Communication from management is poor. Responses to inquiries can take weeks, and there’s a noticeable lag in office-wide communication. 4. The work environment can feel competitive to the point of being unhealthy. Instead of teamwork, it often feels like employees are pitted against one another to secure bonuses. 5. Big company, bad insurance coverage.
