Pros

Nothing I can think of.

Cons

It's pretty depressing to come on here and see these glorious, dream-like reviews for a company that on the daily lies to you, treats you like garbage, and cheats the system! They lie to their own customers and cut corners with cheaper chocolate and ingredients to bump up their profit, it's actually deceitful and disgusting! If the is the definition of a "good company" and a "dream" then you are in your place of employment for all the wrong reasons. I don't need a Benz, and parking near the owners does not define who I am or how successful I am. But I DO need to be treated with respect and treated fairly. Some people don't have to punch out, while some get reprimanded the ONE time they forget. Some people take 2 hours lunches and go golfing next door, and it's okay, while some take an extra 2 minutes to call their children's babysitter and are blasted for making personal calls on company time. Any time you speak to HR about something confidentially, it is spread around the building like wildfire before you've even finished walking out of their office. You will be encouraged to speak your opinions, only to have them thrown in your face and used against you. This company does not like to fire people, or "let them go" because they do not want to dish out unemployment. Instead, they will belittle you and make you feel so frustrated that you will end up quitting. They've done it to so many people, it's so sad. I've watched this company lose a LOT of good workers over the course of the past 5 years alone, a fraction of how long I've been associated with them. They will lose more, undoubtedly, and just be assured that no matter how many dreamy, magical reviews you post on here at the encouragement of HR and the owners, the employees will learn the truth for themselves real fast, and keep that high turnover rate/revolving door reputation alive and well. I have learned that the hard way and will ultimately be the next to go.

Pros

I want to share a story with everyone out there who may not believe that loyalty and hard work is still rewarded.. I worked for Nassau Candy 15 years ago in customer service and came to know an extremely hardworking gentleman in our Warehouse who was the "GO TO GUY" for everything. after 5 years I had to leave for personal reasons. 10 years later, I was then married, had children and was looking to get back into the workforce. Nassau Candy welcomed me back and that "GO TO GUY" I had mentioned is still working at Nassau but he's running the Warehouse, Driving a new Mercedes and parking in one of the spots by the owners.... Nassau Candy is one of the few companies that rewards Loyalty and Hard work above all else.... If you are someone that believes that Dream no longer exists- Come work here...you will be very happily proven wrong..

Pros

I read reviews prior to accepting a position here. And I was almost scared off. But I ultimately decided not to base my decision on the negative reviews. I know that most people that take the time to write on such sites are usually angry. I am here now almost 2 months and I am extremely happy with my decision. The negative reviews do not add up with my experience here. The team here works hard and has a great desire to succeed, but everyone has been very pleasant (including the owners!) and very accepting. This is a rapidly growing company with tremendous youth and excitement coming from the sons. It's a great place to work for young professionals looking to grow with a company. P.S. I am NOT in HR. And nobody asked me to write a positive review!
