If you care about your mental health, run far, far away!
Pros
- Work from home - 401k match - Amazing co-workers and managers who will take the time to help you
Cons
- The training was only informational in regards to how insurance works. We were briefly trained on how to use the system (really they just showed us where things were) and then thrown to the wolves to figure it out while handling claims. - THE MICROMANAGING. As adults, we should not have to tell our managers every single thing that we do during the work day. If that's the case, just watch our screens all day - No work life balance at all! You have to work OT just to keep up with claims and even when you do work OT, you're still behind. - Not only do you have to work OT so you don't drown in claims but when you're salary, you have to work a certain amount of hours at a time for them to pay you - If they mess up your pay, they don't care. In fact, payroll will argue with you :) - Multiple claim departments are behind and you are the face for the customers so you get all of the pushback. Be prepared to argue, people are rude. - Volume is so high, you get about 50 claims a week, you get calls back to back, emails back to back. It's bad Overall the stress you will endure with this position is absurd.
