Pros

I've been an agent for the Dallas location now for a little over 90 days as I feel it would take this long for me to get a 100% feeling for the company. I must say 90 days have passed and everything leadership says comes to pass. I easily see agents making 65-80k a year and hope to earn 100k this year. The training and leadership are there for you to make this happen. Working a solid 50 hours with the focus and drive to succeed is the key to making over 100k a year here. I was already selling by the 5th week and have had great success so far due to the phenomenal training they provide. I love what I do and see myself moving into leadership here and retiring with this company. National General is the place to be as they continue to grow!!

Cons

Everything is great so far none at all!

Pros

Great local people! Solid, stable company, decent PTO and they are continually trying to move their computer systems ahead.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company has become much larger very quickly and in the process, the(upper mgmt.) has lost sight of what drives success-their employees. As they grew, they tried to put more restrictions and micro-manage what seems, at the claim desk, far less important than actually handle a claim. The claims desk has lost the ability to adjust claims and use our knowledge. "results" are now driven by metrics which are documenting things such as "is the claimant attorney represented" and did the appropriate box get checked off rather than being driven by a good/fair settlement or handling of a claim in a timely manner. So many priorities of misc. items that its difficult to prioritize the actual handling.
