Pros

Recent changes to organization to place IT under Shared Services senior management provide more opportunity for growth. Slowing moving from a sustain level resource management to a project / sustain resource management. This should provide more opportunities for growth for application development team. Company is in aggressive growth mode through acquisitions. New building creates a positive, fresh outlook.

Cons

IT department is in need of organizational structure. Recent growth surge has created space issues in new building. Hard to really list this as a Con.

Pros

Working in downtown Cleveland you can walk from work to a Cavs game. But the job itself....a paycheck is the only pro.

Cons

-Terrible systems- the system antiquated and outdated. You can be in the middle of issuing a check and your computer will restart. 85% of my day is fighting my own computer -Lack of management -Training sucks at best- 3 weeks of training where 2.5 weeks are going over the national general policy (which isn't necessarily the policy language you will have to deal with according to the states they assign you) and .5 going over the system. None of what you learn in training will actually help you do your job. -Work load is unrealistic- this isn't a 40 hour a week job due to the fact that they wont hire enough people to handle their claims. Therefore customer expectations are hard to be met. reason why is because the systems do not evenly distribute work. -Promote the best candidates and not your friends- I saw too many people promoted because of things that didn't pertain to their job abilities. -The company is starving for innovation so heavily that they are asking employees 5000.00 dollars for an idea...you read that correctly. Most normal companies ive been at will have a clear vision of what needs to be done but not here. -Recruiting talent has been so bad that recently an email was sent out encouraging employees to give great reviews on this very website. -Office moral is terrible. Seeing someone smile or laugh is rare at best. Taking breaks is frowned upon and majority of people work through their lunch. -If you voice concerns you will be pushed until you quit or management will get HR try to fire you. There is no coincidence that so many reviews are bad about this company. I've seen more people fired than hired.
