I really enjoy the small company feel that NATL has maintained. The company culture is friendly and positive. My team is collaborative and my manager appreciates and listens to my ideas - which is very important to me as a young professional. I also value NATL's outlook on community involvement and its recognition of the need to invest in employees' professional development.

Cons

Lack of diversity - especially in leadership roles.

Pros

Growing company with a vision that has acknowledged the need to be collaborative and flexible. Listens to its employees and is transparent with results and future goals. Starting to truly focus on value-add initiatives instead of a "squeaky wheels" with have low impact. Increased focus on helping the local communities.

Cons

More work to be done throughout the company with flexibility. Bonus structure is a joke and has been for years. No longer fits the size of the company.

Pros

National Interstate is an awesome company! We have awesome benefits, employee engagement activities like monthly socials, company parties, community engagement initiatives, a wellness team, and the employees are so friendly and helpful. We have an affordable cafeteria program, onsite gym, and many other offerings to keep the employees happy. We also have Company Meetings every month which keeps us informed and lets us hear directly from the CEO.

Cons

I really can't think of anything. They actually listen to the feedback from the employees and make changes when possible to make improvements and continuously strive to be better.
