Pros

Great mission. NOT apart of Common core. this has been reported in other reviews here so i thought i would clear that up they do not use common core or participate in anything with it. Good benefits Health, Vision. Good PTO. They do look within to fill roles. Great new CEO who is trying to turn the company around. Don't give up on him.

Cons

Dental is poor. They do look within to fill roles. This being said, you have to be part of the clique in order to be considered. HR department is cringe worthy and will go out of their way to either be out of the office or just flat out ignore you. The worst HR team in the business. Pay is poor and extremely under market. I think they are trying to fix this. There are great people that work here but you have to be part of their "clique" in order to feel at home. This place is very gossipy. Everyone acts as if they are in high school when it comes to talking about people even the HR person. HR is probably the worst about talking about other employees and spreading information. The leadership is extremely split and wont be easy to communicate with. It feels at times that they are all working against each other especially when it comes to them dealing with the IT department. The IT department is under the poorest management I've seen at any company I have been at. They are throwing away hundreds of thousands of dollars and no one is auditing them. I would advise donors to stay away as they run rampant with their funds in the IT department.

Pros

WFH, flexible schedule, some nice colleagues

Cons

Sadly this org has lost its edge. A revolving door at best in terms of staff retention. After two large layoffs and suspicious departures from the org, colleagues continue to drop like flies and who could blame them? There are a few good ones left but sadly their heavy hitters are mostly gone. SMT and ET aside from the CEO really need a refresh.

Pros

This is a great organization if you need to add some experience to your resume; don’t plan on staying long.

Cons

Leadership is old school, passing blame down the food chain. Plan to keep paying for the premium subscription to LinkedIn and keep your profile up to date while you are employed. The only people who stay for more than a few years at this organization have been there for a long time and make a lot of money; all other employees are new or job searching. Dr. Harris is stepping down which perpetuates the toxic culture.
