Pros

You'll get to work in beautiful places and the benefits are good.

Cons

Park Service is the kind of agency that good employees leave because they are tired of being taken advantage of. The people that have been promoted to be in charge aren't good managers. If you're determined to work for the park service I recommend going to a smaller park where you find good management and have more opportunities. You'll get payed the same since its the federal government. Otherwise I recommend going to the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, or Fish and Wildlife which have a better record of taking care of their employees.
