Pros

4 hours - sick leave - per pay period 4 hours - pto - per pay period Multiple options for 401k and health care. Interaction with nature Paid training. Resume booster Oputunities for travel

Cons

Veterans preference means veterans are offered positions first even if they're not most qualified. Administration all have different goals and push them on you even in conflict with superintendents vision. Work place gossip and drama can negatively affect your career path. Pay is not livable. Regulations and Administration with prevent you from doing your job and Administration will blame you for not getting things done.

Great experiences I wouldn't have gained in a traditional EMS setting.

Cons

Politics are rampant in the Park Service. If your on the wrong side of them it can greatly affect future employment.
