Time for a new CEO

Pros

Great benefits, including almost free medical, 401k match to to 6%, transit stipend, etc. Nice office space, free snacks and great employee events.

Cons

For those who have been at the NRA for sometime, you know that the CEO is a manipulative women who looks for scape goats. This time around, she chose to hire a racist, unfiltered executive who has been promising to make changes in the structure of his departments and create new streams of revenue, but none of it has actually happened. The staff that he inherited is slowly but surely leaving the organization, and rightfully so. He has done nothing but hire a bunch of senior positions with no staff to do the actual work. Not only that, but he has no management skills at all. If any current employees are reading this post, you were firsthand witness of his thoughtless comments at the most recent all staff meeting and at other staff meetings. Sending out an engagement survey, days after a poorly handled reorg ....we received an EMAIL on a FRIDAY afternoon! Did I mention that we had another one in September?

Pros

The benefits are good, and the office space is stunning. (But folks, there's more to life than good looks.) You'll find yourself overwhelmed with snacks in the kitchen. And that's not really a pro, come to think of it. Hospitality here is delivered in goods only.

Cons

You will find yourself underwhelmed with the leadership/management. Where else can you find a steady barrage of 40-page ppt presentations that don't tell you anything? This is a superficial meetings-happy environment, where most of the meetings result in ping-pong style, knee jerk reactions without any solid, thoughtful movement forward. Managers here don't manage effectively, but they are paid very handsomely (far too much, really), so they fight very hard to stay put. Ultimately, I found this to be as unrewarding and disingenuous a place to work as I have ever encountered.

Pros

Great benefits and nice office space

Cons

Culture of mistrust and dysfunctional management. Place has been going down hill for a while now. Number of people (in excess of 40) have left in the 18 months due to toxic environment.
