Pros
There used to be some really great, long-time employees who made the culture really great, but those folks are quickly moving on. The benefits package is great for a non-profit university. Remote work is really the best perk of everything, though.
Cons
The university has truly gone from bad to worse in the past couple of years. New management coming in as part of a recent merger are largely incompetent and show little care/respect for current employees. There is turnover at unprecedented rates due to the lack of trust, poor pay, terrible leadership, and never-ending empty promises of things getting better. Unfortunately, many folks are holding on in hopes of better days ahead and enjoying the perks mentioned above, but if you can avoid it - please don't come work here right now. Perhaps 2-5 years down the road when the leadership has cycled through again, things will get better (hopefully).
