Pros

Benefits are good. Facilities are nice. Most employees work hard and have pride in their work. Education benefits are the best reason to work here.

Cons

So many... Management doesn't understand education or business. Chancellor wouldn't know strategy if it hit him in the face. Decisions are made on a whim and changed just as quickly. Cronyism is rampant. Chancellor has surrounded himself with yes-men who protect this emperor with no clothes. Institution has a huge "endowment" yet claims that it can't pay employees a competitive salary since it's "non profit". Students are no longer respected as anything more than revenue.

Supportive team members who were also placed in this micromanaged, chaotic development process; Paid on time

Cons

New leadership who originally consulted from LSU implemented a chaotic, micromanaged process; New leader was allowed to hire friends to support her micromanagement and chaos; Rapid Upskilling that does not fall in line with job description or skillset; SMEs not communicated or trained on new process; Morale destroyed; New leader who hired new leader seems to be oblivious to chaos she created; Micromanagement; Micromanagement; Micromanagement;

I was told, 'You should be lucky to have a job'.

Cons

Using the minimum wage increase to start demoting salaried employees. A 'choice' the university decided to make. Certainly not a morale booster for any employee and extremely concerning for everyone involved. I guess, the work just won't get done when over time isn't approved.
