Pros

Location in columbus is good. Nationwide is active in community and is respected as a whole in columbus

Cons

Lack of direction and mismanagement of initiatives. The whole purchase of Provident was a mess from the start and only got worse

Pros

Compensation, financially sound, good culture compared to many large companies

Cons

Very political and stovepiped, do not manage talent strategically, career opps limited in downsizing. Downsizing is needed, but has been administered too arbitrarily (across the board cuts) because Management does not have the capability or the patience to look for the true waste in activities. There is plenty of waste, and most people know it.

Pros

It was a secure company while I was there.

Cons

Reorganization to "save money". Basically it was to reduce workforce by about 7 employees, across the country. Instead of getting rid of worthless employees, they let everyone go, and we were supposed to reapply. Then all that reapplied were flown halfway across the country for an interview. Make sense?
