Disappointment

Pros

Nationwide is a very large company, and as such, offers a lot of variety. I was able to find many different, varied opportunities working at Nationwide. Overall, financial stability is pretty good.

Cons

I have been disappointed in the disconnect between what senior leadership says, and actions that are taken. Work/life balance continues to erode, and benefits reduced. Expense reductions continue to be taken, while egregious spending still occurs at the executive levels, and especially in the sales and marketing departments.

Not so great

Pros

Multiple opportunities exist, business analyst, IT, etc.

Cons

Big brother attitude from HQ towards employees at other places. Need to be in good books with a Manager to be promoted, in other words, an 'yes man'.
