Pros

Pay is good in comparison to other claims jobs with other companies. Great vacation/ time off package. Challenging job, but not rewarding in the end.

Cons

If you work in the claims area, there is no work/ life balance. They pile loads of claims on each rep. More claims than is humanly possible to handle properly and timely. I worked with a lot of very hard-working and talented coworkers who left feeling burned out and used. Communication concerning changes in claims was sketchy and unclear. The Allied-Nationwide merger created a lot of confusion. Sometimes it was like working for two different companies when it came to working claims and servicing customers from Allied.

Pros

Good opportunity to break into P&C sales if you have no experience. You need to make it happen yourself though, training is OK but all up front.

Cons

Lots of IT problems. They don't tell you the downsides of the program when you start. Gotta drink the cool-aid to keep the sales managers happy.

Pros

Name is well known, salary depends on the agent that you are working for. Benefits package is competitive although a little higher than expected.

Cons

Hard to move up, low employee morale, agents sometimes do not care about anything but the bottom dollar. Stressful environment.
