Pros
Navos is a great place to start out your career as a therapist. There is weekly supervision, trainings are offered at free or lower cost to employees. The team of people I worked with generally want to support children, teens and their families. Navos is working on getting their salary & compensation to be competitive. It is great to be collaborative with coworkers from different therapy schools in order to look at an issue from different angles.
Cons
The problem with community mental health include issues like it is paperwork heavy, it is hard for agencies to pay enough to keep people for a lifetime career and so there is turn over. Sometimes management made promises they didn't follow up on later. Communication was also rough between therapists and upper management at times. They are working on improving conversations and their hiring to reflect the diversity in the community they serve, but it needs to continue and improve.
