Pros

Good health care plan Non-Management folks are really good people

Cons

General Manager reacts to criticism with retaliation toward employees and harasses staff she doesn't like to the point where they quit. This is a control and command management where it's more important that you are penalized for being three minutes late than that you are praised for working hard. Management screams at employees and vendors on the store floor in front of customers and other employees. Extreme favoritism is shown in hiring, particularly in supervisor and management positions. Those who are not promoted are not given the opportunity to see their scoring and to find out how they can improve. The result of all of this very poor management is a terribly toxic environment. A substantial portion of employees have left and those still there are desperately looking for other jobs.

DON'T DO IT

Pros

-Manual labor work -Busy work (plenty of tasks to fill your shift) -Flexible hours -Friendly coworkers

Cons

EVERYTHING ELSE -Hostile work environment -Aggressive managers(severe micro-managing) In my departments you were watched like a hawk, not allowed to work with or talk to another employee WHAT SO EVER, and given a long list of tasks to do without any clear direction. The work itself wasn't hard and I actually enjoyed the manual labor and daily tasks, however, it would be easier to accomplish the tasks in a timely matter if your coworkers were allowed to split the work load with you. That just isn't the case though, being friendly and working as a team is a joke to the NEX. The managers don't wish to help you succeed and grow in the company, it's clear their only motives are to harass you and squash any motivation you had to put into your work.
