Pros

Able to move up within. Alot of cross learning, open door, communication. Lots of holidays off, great vacation time. Respect and opportunities if you work hard and show capability and a good attitude. Some cases of favoritism, but others of true respect based on merit.

Cons

As with any company depends on the team you work under, how much growth potential you have. Pay raises few and far between, relatively no step structure for experienced vs new promotion; you can only negotiate a higher income when first being offered the job, so other than the meek yearly merit increases a seasoned buyer/planner does not make that much more than one just promoted.
