Pros

Some of the best reasons to work for Navy Federal Credit Union are very limited in my eyes. I found that some of their benefits were good but others weren't as great. To me the best benefit would have been the 401k match that is 6% and your completely vested after only 2 years of work.

Cons

I had a lot of issues in working here. The management played favorites and the job wasn't challenging at all. I found myself very bored 80% of the time. I also had issues when it came to having to take time off, they were not considerate for means that were out of your control and very unsupportive when it came to your personal life.

Pros

Good benefits. They have generous 401k and the medical is excellent. The facilities are also pleasing and there is plenty of parking.

Cons

Awful pay and incompetence is rampant. Their brokerage services are a joke and they try to sell expensive products to unsuspecting members. These guys are set up like a wirehouse, not a credit union, when it comes to financial services. Run, don't walk from NFCU

Benefits. Job Security. If you are around retirement, it's a good place to be. Excellent live - work balance. If you want to take off in your career, stay away. If you do not like Navy, also stay away.

Cons

Bureaucratic company. Too many boneheads promoted based in seniority. No communications among teams, duplication of efforts, and terrible loss of resources. To get a 20 dollar part sometimes you they require a written document.
