Pros

You gain experience working with association clients.

Cons

- The biggest issue was how relentless the sales expectations were compared to the actual demand - Often pushing advertising or solutions to associations with limited budgets while quotas completely ignore that reality - Work turns into forcing products onto clients who are not ready - The process feels unnatural and repetitive - It becomes draining trying to chase targets that have no connection to what the market can realistically support

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your recognition of the experience gained working with association clients, which remains a key focus of our organization. We recognize that sales roles can be demanding and require balancing client needs, budgets, and market conditions. At Naylor, we are committed to setting performance expectations that are both realistic and aligned with these factors. The long tenure and consistent success of many members of our sales team reflect our ability to provide achievable goals, strong support, and solutions that deliver value to our partners. While we value all perspectives shared, it is also important to acknowledge that sales roles may not be the right fit for every individual. We wish you success in your future endeavors and thank you again for your feedback.

Challenging but improving

Pros

Sales role at Naylor is demanding, but there have been noticeable improvements in leadership and company culture over the past year. Leadership has become more receptive to feedback, communication has improved, and there is a clearer commitment to addressing concerns that were previously impacting morale. There is a genuine effort being made to course-correct, and those changes are starting to show.

Cons

This is still a challenging environment, and the pace and expectations can be intense. Some of the cultural and operational issues that led to negative reviews are not fully resolved yet, and trust is still being rebuilt. Change is happening, but it is a work in progress and may not move as quickly as everyone would like.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for offering a balanced perspective. We appreciate your recognition of the progress that has been made over the past year, particularly around leadership receptiveness, communication, and company culture. Hearing that these efforts are beginning to have a positive impact is meaningful. We recognize that the sales role remains demanding and that change does not happen overnight. As you noted, rebuilding trust and addressing cultural and operational challenges is an ongoing process. While meaningful steps have been taken, we understand there is still work to do, and we remain committed to continuing that progress thoughtfully and consistently. Feedback from current employees is especially important in helping guide this work. Leadership continues to focus on transparency, follow through, and leadership development to ensure improvements are sustained and that employees feel supported in a fast paced environment. We appreciate your candid input and your engagement in the process of moving the organization forward.

Pros

There's a lot to lean about advertising from the company, I did, I learned a lot. I've gained skills and the confidence to work with these people although management have been terrible to us. They belittle us the entire time and they were toxic work with.

Cons

I don't exactly understand how top management is handling this company but people are leaving even those in management positions! We are utterly understaffed and employees get constantly overworked all because the new staff who get hired left just after we trained them! Its not like we've got a designated trainer to train all new hires, but we trained them ourselves! And at the same time we also do our regular jobs, so we had to work two different roles at the same time which obviously won't be done in an 8 hour shift! So that means working overtime to get our real jobs done! Working here had been nothing but stressful, toxic and exhausting!!

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We appreciate the acknowledgment of the skills gained and the opportunity to learn about advertising while working here. Feedback is most effective when shared while employees are actively engaged, as it allows concerns to be addressed in real time and supports continuous improvement. The company continues to evolve to meet business needs and the needs of the associations we serve, and this includes regularly reviewing staffing, training, and operational practices. Naylor maintains a voluntary resignation rate that is significantly below the industry average. Our onboarding approach reflects a standard practice used by many organizations, where new hires are trained by experienced colleagues through day to day work. This model is intended to integrate training into regular responsibilities rather than create duplicative work, while supporting practical, hands on learning. Leadership remains focused on improving alignment, communication, and execution during periods of change, and we encourage current employees to use internal channels to raise concerns constructively and promptly.
