Pros

Lots of quality freebies such as gift cards, Bose headphones and Fitbits. Flexible work schedule and positive environment.

Cons

Expect to work overtime. Commission is drawn against any overtime worked so realistically very few people are making commission despite high hopes and expectations to be making commission in this role.

Pros

One of the first things that attracted me to Neighbor's Bank was the flexibility to make my own schedule, this allows freedoms in ways that most companies cannot offer and supports the employees for a wonderful work life balance. Shortly after coming on to the company, they began to transition to a work platform that allowed for their employees to work in office, work remotely or flex between both in office and at home, this too has become a huge perk of being a Neighbor's Bank employees. Culture is another area that Neighbor's is consistently putting at the forefront of the company. Not only do they encourage employees to have paid leave to give back to the community, but Neighbor's is continuously striving to bring the employees together in group and company wide events regularly in addition to the small details that make the big difference in culture.

Cons

The company has seen huge growths in the past year, which to no surprise to any business requires some growing pains. Although to Neighbor's Banks credit, the company is actively engaged and putting forth the efforts to be proactive, 2020 was a huge year for Mortgages as a whole, so I don't believe any company could have projected the onset of growth as we and the industry as a whole experienced.

Top Notch Remote Environment

Pros

The people here really live by the values, which is something that isn't just preached by leadership, but they are an example how to live them out. They give you the tools you need to be successful in a remote work place and encourage the flexibility that comes along with it. Even though we are in different states, we are connected through the communities we build via different online channels through work, which is heavily encouraged here. I've worked in remote capacities for other companies, but none of them have come close to the culture here!

Cons

While it is a big perk for the company, if remote work isn't for you (and it definitely isn't for everyone) Neighbors Bank isn't going to be a fit.
