Pros
making life-long friends from trauma bonding
Cons
TOXIC WORK ENVIRONMENT. I remember having bad gut instincts about working here during my interviews, and I found out later why. My first day on the floor I had a panic attack and went to the ER. I stress ate from this job, had hair fall out, and had more panic attacks while I worked here. However, I made a commitment and stayed a year TO DATE. The managers were *condescending* (I can't stress enough how small they try to make you feel), the clients were A-holes, and some of your coworkers would stab you in the back when you weren't looking. Yeah, just no. However, my coworker friends I did make here I would take a bullet for and keep ties for years to come. DISORGANIZATION GALORE. the department I was in was a mess as far as alterations getting done correctly and in some cases, nothing would happen to the garment at all when it came back. However, you are the face of the company so you get yelled at from the clients. Management never had my back when I actually needed it but never failed to micro-manage and belittle. ZERO WORK LIFE BALANCE They have no respect for when you are off the clock. If they give you a phone, you have to answer it all hours of the day, even when you are on vacation...
