NO SUPPORT FROM SENIOR LEADERSHIP

Pros

Neimans has the right idea to advance themselves with the use of data and technology. So there's a lot of opportunity to sharpen your hard skill in software.

Cons

Senior Leadership just truly, really, absolutely doesn't care about anyone. Very clearly the C-Suite only cares for their own, but even down to your Director and Senior manager - they just don't care. Everyone at this company thinks because their boss was an a-hole, that means they now get to be one.

Do Not Work Here

Pros

Discount. I am required to put at least 5 words here but the only thing good about this company is the discount.

Cons

I honestly do not know where to start. I wasted years of my life working for this worthless company. They NEVER promote from within. They always outsource anyone in the management position. Result? Stupid, incompetent people managing all the departments. All of their managers know nothing on how the company runs nor how to process anything. Hence, the turnover rates are high. They do not value the people from operations and yet they are very crucial in running the store. The operations team are treated like slaves. The company values the sales associates more than the operations associates. They only pay 13/hr when the companies around them pay at least 16/hr. Once you get it, they expect you to stay in that position until you die. Yearly raise is only 3% despite giving your best at your role. And sometimes, they don’t even give you a raise. I don’t know how this company survives. Their sales are not impressive at all compared to their competitors. I wouldn’t be surprised if this company shuts down anytime soon. Please do not work here.

Pros

Employee discount 401k with match Pre-tax parking garage deductions Some managers are nice, helpful but very obviously over worked and frustrated

Cons

Health Insurance is beyond terrible! Extremely high deductibles and very high monthly premiums. Worst insurance I’ve ever had. Makes your okay salary worth even less. During my interview not much was shared about benefits (even after asking) and I know why now. Minimal vacation days - any increase over their 15 days (a lot of holidays days like Black Friday aren’t days off) is reserved for executives. Very antiquated approval systems for taking time off, and at the accrual rate of a little over a day each month have fun feeling like you can actually take off. No flexibility to work from home either. This place feels like a prison. Salary is on the low end and work load is intense. HR cannot help you with anything. Don’t even bother asking about benefits or other questions you have. They will be ignored or responded to without an answer. Disorganized and unhelpful. Overall I feel like I’m working at a company that is struggling to survive... so much spin, conflicting direction and information, and expectations to do the jobs of 2-3 people extremely quickly (without adequate compensation). There is ZERO sense of community, no one talks to each other unless to complain. There’s an overall feel that people at executive levels are just passing through without intent to stay long. Not much for morale. Working downtown is horrible. Expensive parking garages and traffic gridlock means it takes 45 minutes just to get out of downtown between 5-6:30 pm.
