Pros

Employee discount, meeting new people

Cons

NO LEADERSHIP or support from top management at all. They are only concerned about making their own bonus so they can continue to strut their stuff in Chanel. Merchandise managers doesn't even know how to use the cash register, and have very little knowledge about the products on the floor. Even though you only get paid commission, they continued to scold you for low store sales while not doing anything to bring in business. They claim to care about customer service, yet only give away free things to those who throw fits, not real customers. Open return policy can turn your pay check into minimum wage. "Customers" take full advantage and returns worn clothes from last year and employees still have to return their commission. HR never returns emails or phone calls unless they are asking for a donation from you! Lots of RED TAPE!

Pros

- Hire a diverse group of people - good benefits and discounts - relaxed environment

Cons

- commission rate was low - clientele is not the nicest - return policy (when you work there) is the WORST, customers bring back everything and usually worn!

Pros

Discount, pay, fashion, $1 coffee

Cons

Very poor development and review policies are unfair for product specialist in cosmetics. Sales people don't know how to do make up but make a lot more money. All they do is clerk. There are very few of them that work hard. They don't help to even clean counters or help clean make up brushes. Product specialists do 80% of the work while sales make more money. There's no development for business managers who sometimes do not have experiences managing. HR is also a huge problem. They say they promote from with in but you ask to work for another line and they give you the run around. If you want to transfer it's the same thing. Also their client system is super outdated. Got new registers with the same system, then what's the use.
