Pros

Having worked in luxury hotels and resorts for over twenty years I feel I have found my home at Nemacolin. While the property is magnificent, it is the people that make Nemacolin special. New leadership has come with great energy and optimism and things will only get better.

Cons

The nearest towns are 20-30 minutes away from the resort.

Pros

You are able to gain a lot of highly sought after experience working for a 5 star / 5 diamond resort like Nemacolin. This experience is not only applicable in the Hospitality Industry, but also in many other industries as well. If you work hard then there are significant financial gains to be had.

Cons

The level of stress in day to day operations at the property is through the roof. It is difficult to decipher that direction you are supposed to be moving in because it changes quite often. Even if you are achieving the goals that you set out to achieve, this does not mean that your employment is safe. No mater how much time and effort you put in it is never enough.

Golf Caddie

Pros

It was awesome to be able to get out on the golf course everyday and improve the golfers' scores by giving advice on where to place shots and reading their putts. You meet new people every single day, which keeps the job from becoming boring and redundant.

Cons

It is a lot of physical strain on your back and legs for the first few weeks to a month, but you eventually become used to it. Your tip at the end of the round can vary based on the golfers' scores and how seriously they took it (i.e. a golfer taking a bad round too seriously leads to less of a tip than you would have received otherwise).
