Pros

Working at Neo4j has been an incredible experience. The technology we're building is at the cutting edge, especially in the Graph space, and it feels great to be part of something so impactful. I mainly work with the Engineering, Product, and People teams, and the collaborative and dynamic environment here is truly inspiring. One of the best things about Neo4j is the diversity of our team. We have people from all sorts of backgrounds and experiences, which makes every day interesting and enriching. It's a lot of fun to work with such a varied group, and I learn something new from my colleagues all the time. The growth opportunities here are amazing. Being part of a pre-IPO company means you feel like you're making a big impact. It's exciting to see how much the Graph technology space is growing and knowing that you're contributing to that. Neo4j has a wonderful, people-oriented culture that I've come to appreciate. The company's core values have a Swedish touch, which means a lot of emphasis on work-life balance and making sure employees feel valued and supported. It's a place where you can thrive both professionally and personally.

Cons

Since we're a distributed team, I'm not always in the same location as my closest colleagues. This means I often need to be flexible when working with co-workers in the States. While I generally enjoy the collaboration, it can sometimes be tricky to navigate the time zone differences. As we continue to grow as an organization, there are a few areas where we're still catching up. For example, we could benefit from more robust Learning and Development programs, as well as dedicated Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. I’m hopeful that these will be addressed as we expand.

A company full of very bright people who act in the best intentions to solve the problems our customers have. Work / life balance is excellent and the company culture is one of the best I have encountered so far in my career.

Cons

None that I have come across so far.

Pros

Most of the company works from home

Cons

Sales are plummeting, quotas are being missed, and many AEs and sales leaders have left the business, which has severely impacted morale. Despite this, more Revenue Operations people are being added, making it harder to close deals. They've also caused problems on the front end by hiring an SDR leader who restructured the organization, brought in many inexperienced SDRs, and was let go in under a year. Now, we lack adequate pipeline and prospecting support. There's a significant disconnect between what sales leadership thinks we need and what's actually happening. If this doesn't change soon, the future of the company looks bleak.
