Proceed with Caution, Seconded

Pros

Pay (though not total compensation package) and work-life balance.

Cons

Read the “Proceed with Caution” review. It is accurate. If you’ve read the 5-star reviews, they are symptomatic of the problem. That the CFO gave an interview in which he describes a previous company’s leadership as “questionable” is …something.

Thank you for posting your review. I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a negative experience. We've had such positive momentum this year, and very favorable feedback from current employees, though of course there is more work to do! If you have any direct feedback or advice for how we can improve your experience at Neo4j, we'd love to hear it! Please do reach out directly. Thanks again, Kristin

Thanks so much for taking the time to post this review, and I’m sorry to hear this feedback. As you know, we have recently brought in new leaders in Marketing to help drive towards our ambitious growth goals, and to set up the right framework to support our employees as we scale. We continue to add new leaders to this group, and are excited for what's to come. In terms of DEI&B, this is a huge investment area for us. We have offer various trainings, have well supported ERGs, and various other resources to ensure we are making this part of our Neo4j DNA. While there is still work to do, I’m proud of what we've accomplished and where we’re going. Please reach out if you are interested in being an active participant/member of our DEI&B initiatives - we can always use more ambassadors and it would be great to have your feedback and perspective. Thank you, again! Kristin

Pros

*employee culture was awesome *my manager was the best manager I had in my career *free food/office cool vibe *flexible

Cons

*no career path *poor upper management. primarely all men and no women leadership *sdr's are treated so poor by everyone and I mean EVERYONE *comp plans always late *territory changes constantly *goals are always unachievable *asked to do so many things outside of your job description *very un-organized *marketing department out of date and ridiculous out of touch with the market *to many people trying to make useless decisions *I went through 4 directors in the 3 years I was there *burnt out almost every quarter *toxic environment for women Don't work here. Women are looked at so unfairly. No career advancement for SDRs. I feel bad for my manager who is over worked and treated as the Go-To person all the time but so under appreciated. SDRs are treated so poor by sales, and marketing so many SDRs have left that company because we are treated like kids. Such a dead end job. Pandemic made it worse. So un-organized it literaly made me sick working there and felt like a slave doing so much admin work, I don't even like thinking about working there. If it wasn't for my manager I would have quit after the first year. LOOK ELSEWHERE, NOT WORTH THE STRESS

I'm so sorry to hear about your negative experience at Neo4j, it's certainly not something we want for any of our employees. I do however, appreciate the feedback, as we can't get better without it. The Neo4j SDR team has been in some transition over these last few years, but with a strong leader in place, it really is a fantastic place to begin a career in enterprise software sales. In the last 12 months a number of SDRs across the globe have moved into quota carrying sales roles and others are slated for new business closing roles in the upcoming quarters. We are continuing to add women to the SDR team, and to leadership roles across the company. It's a passion area of mine, and one to which our leadership team is committed. I'm not sure when you left Neo4j, but I would have loved to have had the chance to talk. If you're open to it, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you again, Kristin
