New CIO micro manages and is destroying morale across all groups Business partners are rude and blame their mistakes on IT. This seems to be acceptable. Work life balance does not exist and overtime is taken for granted, not appreciated I've never worked for a company that lays off so many people before

Everyone has a personal experience that connects us to the patient experience. These talented and dedicated people offer opportunities to work on meaningful projects that support a patient's journey. A great place to learn, grow and make impact. Never denied a PTO day, flexibility in work hours/remote because we support UK - California. Technical opinions are valued and so is constructive criticism. There is a genuine desire to achieve the best outcome, and it doesn't matter whose idea it was.

Cons

There can be a "curse of competency" dynamic where the person who demonstrates expertise in a system often becomes the long-term owner of that responsibility. Limited business analyst involvement in IT initiatives outside of lab-related projects can make requirements gathering and stakeholder alignment more difficult. Cross-training is limited in some areas, resulting in several Single Points of Technical Support (SPoTS) across critical systems.
