Great company to work for

Pros

Company cares about employees and rewards performance. Work is challenging because of the rapid growth but also very rewarding. As a growing company, there are always opportunities/positions/projects opening up for those employees who are willing to go above and beyond. Perfect company place for "go getters"

Cons

Maybe not a con, but probably not the place for you if you just want to "get by" and expect to be bumped up because of seniority.

Neo is great! There is nowhere else I'd rather be!

Pros

Overall, NeoGenomics truly is a great place to work. It is wonderful to work for such a successful organization with stellar leadership and employees. People here really care about the work that they do, and the impact that their work is having on patients (and our Common Purpose really drives that home!). Management supports the growth and development of employees, and career development opportunities abound (speaking from my own experience!). Benefits and pay are excellent. Management asks for employee feedback often, and employees have many ways to let their voices be heard. Also, in a company that frequently experiences growth (which is awesome!), with that comes a lot of change, and with this can come the difficulty of ensuring employees are kept up-to-date regarding changes that impact them. Despite the many recent changes recently (and coming) due to Neo's growth and the integration of Clarient, I feel that NeoGenomics has done a great job with its communication efforts and continues to make effective communication a priority.

Cons

I'm a happy camper! I don't see any downsides to working at Neo, which explains why I have been here as long as I have.

Accessioning

Pros

None. I guess just lab week and HR is nice

Cons

Speed you through training and expect you to perform task with only 2 days of shadowing. Plays the blame game. Never gives you any performance grading or warning during probationary period. Ask you to do things outside of your SOP just to turn around and blame you for doing what was told. Also looking higher someone on the lower ranks to take the heat for 3 months and rotate out. Last 3 people before me were fired for taking a day off. Don't accept a job in accessioning

NeoGenomics Response

We are sorry to hear your experience did not match the experience we strive hard to provide all of our employees. We greatly value our employees, and we work together to achieve our goals. We celebrate our employees through employee appreciation events such as Lab Week and recognize those who go above and beyond to achieve high performance and live our company values. We embrace the diversity of our experiences, skills and talents and we work hard to support them during onboarding, professional development and on-the-job training. Our Accessioning department is fast-paced, patient centered, and committed to delivering high quality and outstanding results for our clients and the internal customers that the department supports. It is also a great stepping stone for an employee to come in, learn our business and move on to other career paths in our laboratory. Thank you, Director of Accessioning & Logistics
