Poor Direction

Pros

Bring dogs to work, free snacks, coke freestyle... cool office! Flexible work hours. Pretty good location.

Cons

Pay was not very competitive. They try to offset this by providing "production bonuses" for working overtime. Poor upper (and now lower) management. Especially after they laid off all first-level management and had abrupt shift in "direction". Following pep-talk was littered with "business" words like "innovation" and "paradigm-shift". Needless to say, the company culture has yet to recover from these changes. Good luck finding work without pestering a bunch of different people or feeling like you're robbing co-workers of their production bonus.

Too bad there isnt a Twin Cities worse places to work

Pros

They do have a great kitchen with all the food you can eat.

Cons

This was the goofest company I have worked for. If you are a geeky nerd your are part of the in club. If you are anything else you are out. Almost cult like. I have been in sales a long time and this was the worse sales organization I have been part. Not very business like or professional. You have heard of controlled chaos this wasn't even that. They had people in management who had no sales experience. Expectations were totally unrealistic. Some of the things they did were just goofy. If you are in sales stay away.

This is Tom O’Neill. We don’t ever mean for our environment to feel exclusive, but it’s surely inclusive to a large number “geeky nerds” who likely consider this a place where they can really be themselves. We are all nerds about something – you can be a nerd about accounting, or just someone in accounting who’s a fantasy-football nerd. We definitely have sales nerds, and total nerds in sales who are total pros as well. This company is not for everyone, but it can be. I am sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your experience here, and I welcome an exit interview with you.

Problems have been piling up

Pros

-Opportunity to work with really smart and wonderful people -Being around so many smart people means you learn a lot, and fast -Having dogs at work is great for morale

Cons

-A few bad apples are beginning to spoil the bunch in various departments around the company -Management has been hiring outside leaders that are poor culture fits, pushing the company further into a corporatey depression -The company's vision is to be the "best place in the world for nerds to work" but management doesn't genuinely care about employee well-being -Pay is below average across the board, and with recent budget cuts, it's gotten even worse
