Pros

Overall there is Respect for people and diversity. Good salary, challenging jobs, nice people. Best Croissant on Fridays:-) good salary.

Cons

Not enough focus on people and people development: it's simply not seen as something which has a ROI. Lately too much company focus on saving money, even in development of software, with consequent delays in providing fixes. There are still some managers, senior mgr and directors who are too unexperienced to make a difference.

Pros

Netapp was a great place to work early on and the _technical_ people were great to work with. I had some really smart peers and mentors.

Cons

Early on, the company was small and had a startup mentality but after RTP started to expand into the second and third buildings mediocre management stepped in and really made things backwards.
