Pros
NetApp has a wide assortment of excellent employees that truly want what is best for the company. They work hard to make a terrific product and succeed a vast majority of the time. Benefits are rock solid with a well thought out remote worker program.
Cons
The current strategy to get them off a slump is off and currently requires a great deal of spin to get it back on point. NetApp suffers greatly from NIH (Not Invented Here) by many of the old guard and their disciples. The sales push is covering existing accounts and attempting to get them to migrate rather than trying to take market share. For a product company sales are king but the short sighted approach that is common throughout the organization can lead to more strategic approaches being ignored. Culture is what you make of it but in the case you must conform to the committee driven approach of the NetApp culture in order to get things done.
