As many old and current employees would tell you, this was a truly great place to work at one point and for a long time. Not anymore. I am an eye witness to that culture changing. NetApp is truly a pay for performance company though. You work crazy and put in the time, you are well taken care off for the most part. But 5 layoffs in the past 3+ years has changed a lot of things.

• Constant re-structurings - employees shoulder the burden for mistakes made by the Executive Management Team; the 'let's see what sticks' approach is very disruptive • Dog-eat-dog environment; management seems to pit people against one another • HR is useless if an employee needs help with a negative work environment • Lack of respect for marketing employees and programs
