Pros

NetSuite was a great company to work for. They had great benefits, good pay, and they were generous with time off.

Cons

NetSuite was bought by Oracle, and everything that was great about NetSuite was taken away. They dropped us from Salary to Hourly, they cut our time off in half, the benefits changed, and the worst part was that they treated us like a number and not like people. I loved my job before Oracle took over, and I hated my job after a few months of Oracle ownership. I had to leave.

Pros

I learned a lot at NetSuite. I joined the company with only a few years of marketing experience under my belt and came away with exceptional experience and marketable skills. I worked my way up the management ladder and ended up with a few direct reports over the 4+ years that I was there. I had the opportunity to work with various teams and levels within the organization from executives down to recent college graduates. My role was to capture customer stories and publish them in various forms and formats. The core group of marketing people that I worked with were all A players and were there to support each other. We had a strong bond and I am grateful for the chance to work with them. I really enjoyed being a part of a number of major product launches. The business expanded considerably while I was there, which taught me a lot.

Cons

The decision was made to bring in new leadership to help us continue to grow. Things didn't work out for the new leadership and a lot of smart, dedicated people were pushed out. Its unfortunate that some were sacrificed for the shortcomings of a few.

Pros

- Great product when it actually works.

Cons

- Very strange culture. I've worked at two other companies in the past and culture was always so important especially when it came to keeping the sales team morale high. I wouldn't even go as far to say the culture was bad...it was just non existent. - Customers are always unhappy. Every company has unhappy customers but the amount that are using NetSuite is absurd. NetSuite is extremely understaffed in the professional services space which is crucial for customer success. - They fire people on the spot and have no HR representation. I had many co-workers who wanted to go to HR regarding multiple issues but were scared to due to the repercussions that would come from that. Overall- It's not a horrible company but certainly not a place where you want to build a career. Look elsewhere.
