Pros

In four years, I have had four promotions through two pay bands...which is great. For people who are motivated and ambitious, there's loads of opportunities in NR. The organisation is large and diverse so there is plenty of opportunity for promotion, secondments and gaining experience in different functions. Decent benefits and generally, most managers have a fairly flexible approach to agile working etc.

Cons

NR are typically pretty bad of retaining real talent, which means that the great people that work there don't stick around for too long. Incidentally, those that have got comfortable and have stuck around too long are easy to identify. There can be a real lack of accountability and it can be really difficult to create momentum or a sense of urgency. Most frustratingly of all I feel, is the complete lack of learning from lessons, which means that the business makes the same mistakes over and over.
