Pros

Cant think of anything good

Cons

Management is bias and not trained in leadership skills, pay is the lowest amongst other banks, health benefits are so bad, most people are on medicaid, sr management has no clue what goes on in rural branches, inability to adapt to change. Leadership that has been there for years wont entertain change.

Pros

Local management team truly cares about people, several great development programs, good hours, flexible scheduling, lots of paid holidays, community oriented, promotions are usually from within, sales goals are more reasonable than many other banks.

Cons

Nevada State Bank is a subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation making it a challenge at times for local management to act quickly on employee's concerns. Health insurance is average. Internal systems are antiquated making the operational nature of the job somewhat complicated. Zions is working on a new core processing system so hopefully that won't be an issue for much longer.

Pros

They definitely focused on customer service.

Cons

There is a lot of favoritism in the time I worked there. The Technology is ancient and was frustrating to work with. The pay is very low compared to other banks. Very micromanaged and work was thrown at you every second making it impossible to get what you need to do done. Trying to balance and having management overload you with work duties on top of what you already had to do kept people from focusing on balancing on their drawers. Career advancement wont be a walk in the park, many broken promises.
