Terrible company in St Louis

Pros

The building is close to home. I can look out the window and dream of a future job elsewhere.

Cons

Very hard to trust anyone here. Everyone is in corporate mode with their hands out trying to get something they haven't earned. It's very easy to rub shoulders with the brothers and get what you need. HR continues to surprise me daily with the smiles and plain corruption by lying to everyone who they try to push out the door. I see people quitting or being fired. They offered me good pay and a office before I was hired. I'm out in the open with everyone and isn't what they offered me. I'm looking to leave ASAP.

Pros

Great people on the production floor. Like any other place you can find good people in all departments. They sponsor a lot of activities (most of them during weekends). The company is involved in the community. Good perks.

Cons

There is not a lot of team work. It is very disorganized and you end up doing everybody else's job. Manufacturing/production is particularly stressful because of the lack of management and management unrealistic expectations. It is not easy to move around to other positions.

Pros

Nice building and nice workers.

Cons

Everyone is leaving for good reason. HR is very manipulative, people have quit, and others were fired. A manager threatened me but he's still working for New Balance. HR is protecting him. I'm not sure how that could even happen. I will say, New Balance is strange and they have many issues. It was great at first and then it turned bad. I was lied to when I interviewed about what my duties would be. I accepted the job and was lied to again. This time the salary was not correct. HR told me there's nothing they can do about the pay. I'm stuck here until I find another job. This place is one of the worst jobs of my career.
