      SDR Organization is a sinking ship

      Pros

      The product is awesome, Engineers amongst others love using it. The kitchen stays fully stocked

      Cons

      The quota is IMPOSSIBLE to hit Everything is outbound prospecting and received no leads. There is no room for growth and moving up from the SDR position is nearly impossible because the funnel is so jammed up The company has no idea what it wants to do with the SDR organization and you are micro managed to the fullest

      - Great office space - Great product - Hire very nice sales people

      Cons

      - The 100% in-bound round robin sales system could not scale from 25 to 75 reps, and the overall morale of the sales team shot down. - Very little transparency from sales management & execs down to team - Most of the initial blood of the sales team around in 11' & 12' has flown the coop - Compensation is not what it seams as only 33% of sales team hit quota in Q4'13 - Acting like a public company, though still a private company - Internal promotions are all friends of the VP of Sales from college days

      Where PM careers go to die

      Engineering leadership is sane, dev teams actively foster trust with each other

      Cons

      Don't expect to do any product management as a product manager. The CEO will tell you what he wants you to do and you will be expected to do it yesterday. PMs are glorified project managers at New Relic. They have zero influence over their roadmap. There's no career development for PMs, and the job ladder associated with this title does not align with industry expectations. Even if you shift roadmap to accommodate leadership, you won't see any reward. Your manager will surprise you with a bad review for not meeting some arbitrary goal. Comp is also below market.
