Pros

Overall, it's great selling this platform. The customers love it and our model is set up to where we are very involved with each customer throughout the duration of their contract. It makes me a better sales rep having so many customer discussions, and I love that it is not solely a presales motion that is then presented with a friction-filled post-sale juggling a customer between sales and proserv.

Cons

- C-level leadership has been very poor for the past few months. There's many examples of this, but the biggest one is that they changed our comp plan which drastically altered all sales reps' cash flow and they gave us zero heads up. They could've given us the opportunity to manage our accounts in the previous FY to give ourselves a chance for this FY, but it appears that even less people will hit their number this FY than last FY(which was a small amount). - The comp plan just doesn't make sense, and the leadership is not accountable and transparent whatsoever.

Pros

The only pro is the time off policy

Cons

Bullying by leadership that continues to be accepted by the masses Disorganization across the entire org - sounds to be an ongoing problem over the last few years so it’s hard to call it “growing pains” when there appears to be a lack of growth Mixed messages from executive leadership down to Managers/Directors The platform is mediocre at best compared to the other observability platforms Recurring layoffs Lack of confidence in leadership Improper internal tooling to run the business New Relic doesn’t care about their employees or their customers. They only care about making a quick buck and that’s apparent to employees and customers.

Pros

Gorgeous offices, nice snacks, unlimited FTO

Cons

Micromanagement among mid- and senior-level managers, leads to distrust of employees and bullying behavior. Belittling of very experienced team members does nothing except alienate and discourage teams. Rampant turnover due to both attrition and recent layoffs - too many talented people are gone throughout the company. No transparency, unrealistic expectations with budget cuts and lack of resources. No career growth when new hires are brought in with inflated titles. New Relic used to have an authentic "people culture." With countless reorgs and new management (with minimal experience), New Relic has sadly deteriorated. One of the worst tech companies I've worked for in 20+ years.
