Pros

Great culture, dedicated teams, an interest in innovation, good work/life balance. The people at this company care deeply about each other and the work that they do.

Cons

Fast growth causes scaling issues which can make it difficult to manage future growth. Given the size of the market, it is easy to get spread too thin and lose focus.

Pros

The people are what makes this company great. I've made great friends inside and outside of work.

Cons

I work in the People Ops group. It is a mess. We have leaders in our group who do not care about us at all. We have leaders who are completely MIA more often than not or don't respond to any communication. They try to hold us accountable for things they will not do themselves. They sell all of these development opportunities to other groups outside of People Ops and then don't do the same for us. The same managers are always holding private meetings to work on how they protect each other instead of being honest and facing reality. There are a couple of managers who are amazing but you can tell they are being held back by the senior leaders of the group. We have a manager who has been on the team for a long time and no one in the group or outside the group has an ounce of respect or belief in him. He has no idea what he is doing. So instead of fixing the issue they just gave all of his work to another new manager who is clearly drowning. This new manager seems to know how to fix things but also seems to be spinning wheels. The manager who has been here can barely put together a legible written sentence. There are leaders in the group that are not willing to take responsibility or accountability for anything. They just pass the blame to other people. It's ridiculous. People have left and more are leaving. The head of our group is a nice man but he only cares about you when you are meeting with him. He forgets everything after you leave his office. He doesn't always tell the truth.

Pros

Good support, all you have to do is raise your hand and there is a wealth of knowledge across the company. I am given a level of independency but with good guidance from my manager. My short term target is more than reasonable and I have been given a great chance to succeed. I always look for four things: product, culture, support and training and I cannot fault New Relic on any of these. Really, if you are willing to put the hours in (as any sales person should) the opportunity is there. If you find you are struggling in any particular area, there are always people around to help you.

Cons

There are a lot of internal meetings covering a wide range of areas. These can often feel a bit scattergun and usually take place during the middle of the week (key selling days). Sometimes it feels a bit knee jerk and so the only con I can really find is that the company should be more strategic with its internal meetings and when they are held, and focus on keeping information concise.
