Pros

Great Product that customers like; great home office and perks in downtown SF; development teams are strong and appear to have good culture. DevOps is a good space to be in with current trends of moving to the cloud.

Cons

Chaos on the Sales side - leadership flip flops on their approach to the field; lots of turnover across all departments; back-stabbing environment; uncertainty and fear concerning top sales leadership; inability to execute; lots of over-reporting and over-documenting to make up for disorganization; poor integration of marketing tools as well as various internal sales-supporting teams; very few people not in SF even remotely close to quota.

The best part of New Relic is the downtown San Francisco office location and great friendships built with employees across the world. Solid Engineering leaders and teams!

Cons

Do your research! New Relic WAS once a great company with a solid reputation. The company ratings and engagement levels are going South, just like the culture quickly has. From a tyrannically led Sales & Marketing org solely focused on pointing fingers, with significant levels of attrition - to the stale and outdated HR function that is the laughing stock of the company.

Pros

Many really smart people, great office, convenient location, innovative product. CEO seems like a great guy and gets high ratings on Glassdoor. Seems super smart and is charismatic.

Cons

Attrition throughout the ranks. People talk trash about other departments, seems to be a general lack of trust and respect. So much gossip and drama, maybe people don't have enough work to do? Some departments are just grossly disorganized and have a general lack process so it's just a free for all. Not all execs are nearly the same quality as the CEO, some aren't even close.
