Pros

New Western provides every employee with a huge opportunity to create massive business for yourself. It is a challenging job, but you can make it whatever you want it to become. With New Western requiring all of us to get licensed you have the ability to look at investors all over your state and contact them to see if they’re interested in future opportunities. The first 3-6 months are difficult but if you put in the work in those time periods you will create success for yourself for years to come. Highly recommend!

Cons

The only cons to this position are selling a property and it not closing for reasons outside of your control. This can be frustrating because you did your job, but it is just a part of the game.

Great to hear you’ve found such a significant opportunity at New Western and that licensing has opened doors to connect with investors across your state. Your perspective on putting in the work early to set up long-term success is spot on. We understand how frustrating it can be when a deal falls through due to factors outside your control, but we appreciate your hustle and willingness to move forward. We appreciate the training feedback and will continue to strengthen onboarding to ensure agents feel even more prepared from the start.

Pros

I was getting tired of the traditional real estate route and a friend introduced me to Sara Friede and her team here in Houston. I’m approaching my third year now with the company and have learned more in the last couple years than I did in my previous 10+ years being in traditional real estate. You get to learn how experienced investors run their numbers while also handling many more transactions than the average real estate agent. It’s also a fun group of people to work with and the social aspects of the company make work life that much more enjoyable!

Cons

It can be tricky budgeting in the beginning while you’re getting your feet wet. You also need to be self-motivated or find a person who can hold you accountable. It’s definitely a grind however you’re building your own business.

Great to hear how much value you’ve found with the Houston team and how your time at New Western has expanded your real estate knowledge beyond the traditional route. Learning from experienced investors and working with a fun, collaborative group can make all the difference. We understand the early stages can be financially challenging and require strong self-motivation, but your perspective on building your own business is right on target. Glad to have your experience and energy on the team!
