Pros

Great culture and a high-energy team environment. This is an excellent role for anyone looking to master the investment side of real estate. The exposure to different industry players:investors, contractors, and other agents is invaluable for building a professional network.

Cons

The primary challenge is the inherent income instability. As a disposition agent, your success is heavily dependent on the acquisition agents. If there is a week or two with no deals or if the available deals are tight, then you can't make any sales and thus make no money.

Pros

- If you are part of an established office, the opportunities are great. The lead generation by the acquisition agents will keep you fed - Comp plan isn't terrible, ranging from 10-20% of the sales volume per transaction dependent on your bonus for that month - Mostly younger agents, but if you fit in, you'll love it. (very "bro" culture)

Cons

- If you're not in an established office and you're helping it get started, there will be LOTS of down time, and being 100% commission is tough in circumstances like that - Comp plan isn't a standout - Lots of driving to the office and houses

New Western Response

We love hearing that you found strong opportunity and deal flow at New Western and appreciated the team dynamic. For the right fit, the real estate environment can be energizing and rewarding. We certainly understand the experience can be more challenging in developing offices, especially with the commission-based model real estate agents work with. We recognize that downtime, travel, and compensation structure can feel tougher in those situations. It's why we have the incentive model for our agents to help them ramp up. We appreciate the time you took to share your perspective and wish you continued success moving forward.

Great pay if you are motivated.

Culture and managers encourage a toxic environment in the workplace.
