Pros

It's a pleasant environment to work. Most are friendly and are open to helping fellow employees across departmental boundaries. Hours are decent.

Cons

Limited opportunity for growth. No training or development programs. They hire to fill a specific role, so someone with a specific skill set but lower potential has a better chance than someone with high potential but only transferable skills.

Pros

I did feature mini-profiles for $600 for 800 words which is better than what a lot of other place pay. Checks were sent on time and never had to chase anyone down which is a big plus.

Cons

Editors constantly dumb down pieces and will sacrifice accuracy for slickness. At their best, pieces are on the bland side and it worst, propaganda for right wing ideology.

Pros

good connections -- good people. i worked with the internet team and they were great. a small team. really friendly and welcoming but also honest.

Cons

print is kinda dying so guess i can't put all the blame on the post. people just don't seem so excited, just surviving.
