Didn't do that much, but it was still satisfying.

Pros

you can read books for free if you don't have anything to do. You can make great friends there as well.

Cons

It can be very boring and the people you have to deal with can also be annoying if they don't follow instructions.

Pros

colleagues bond because of terrible working conditions. they will generally hire anyone and the interview process for a librarian position was incredibly low pressure.

Cons

one of the lowest paying professional librarian salaries in the country, located in one of the most expensive places to live. their reputation is totally undeserved, its terribly mismanaged and hard work, intelligence and progressive attitudes are not valued. if you want to make a difference in people's lives, or work in an intellectually stimulating place, do not work here. aside from all that, patrons are verbally abusive and make physical threats often - be prepared to deal with it yourself as security often avoids situations like that.
