Pros

Location, Benefits and friendly atmosphere

Cons

The expectations of a new employee in the customer service field is to be perfect and as good as someone who has been employed in the company for 3 -5 years. Newegg does train new reps and actually has them answering calls while they are in training. At times the information they may give someone may not be as accurate. There may be a chance that this caller received a 'newbie' on the floor when he/she called in the first time. I'd also like to let all know that all calls are placed on a caller's que and all reps have to shorten their calls to under 4 minutes and are pressured to take at least 80 calls a day or they can be fired. So the pressure is on, stress, etc to end the call fast. In a nutshell everyone is C.S has to speed talk to keep their job. . Management speed talk when in a meetings. The entire work place is based on the principal of rush rush!

Pros

I made a lot friend there. I think it was because we all felt the same. You do get very hands on training if you are entry level. If you are beyond that, read below. It's a great place to learn and looks very good on your resume because it's a major retailer and a very big brand name. You also might learn Chinese if you do not know how to speak it already. Again, I stress that one of the best things about newegg is the people. There's probably about 20 people there to avoid, but the rest are fine.

Cons

Management was completely insane. I think they need to hire someone to constantly remind them that they are in the United States and not China. There's something called labor laws. There's no parking. They hire a lot of arrogant people to be in senior positions. That is to say not everyone is bad. If you are an expect in your field, prepare to teach a team outsourced to china or train your counterpart. It's to replace you, I mean "help" you. Wages are next to nothing. Raises are very small and benefits are expensive. Management pretends to care about the workers.
