Pros

Great place to learn the ropes of the mortgage business. Managers are cool.

Cons

Very low compensation plan compared to other places. In order to reach a certain level of pay, you have to reach certain “tiers” — even the highest “tier” is low compared to other companies out there. Hired way too many people so the leads are very little. Rely mostly on credit triggers. Not enough products to help all customers (down payment assistance, grants). Rates are non-competitive, especially when credit unions are who you’re competing with.

Pros

Work life balance is good, PTO is good, incentive plan is okay.

Cons

Salaries are not in line with industry standards. Policies and procedures are hard to find. Remote positions are no longer an option. Current remote employees are not given merit increases for the simple fact they are remote vs in office nor treated as part of the company although several management positions are still remote. Those positions likely saw merit increases. Communication is seriously lacking for responsibilities and changes impacting the departments. Changes are made by upper management across the board with no consideration for the impacts on different business lines. It seems they want to just be the largest servicer with little regard to quality of product and service. Their reputation is beginning to take a major hit with stakeholders, firms and courts.
